I had an awesome weekend!
The gathering with the mexican girls & husbies and the dutch girl went pretty good! We had a great evening, watching the match Mexico vs Argentina (we lost, but with pride! It was a _damn good_ match!), and they all brought something yummy to eat so we had mole sauce with chicken, taquitos with salsa and cream, pate with philadelphia cheese, burritas with ham and cheese, chips, peanuts, Margaritas....
It was such a nice evening and I think they enjoyed themselves too. They left around 2.30 in the morning! :D I can say it was a success heheh. One of the husbies actually can play the piano, the kind of music thar lightens a party up (whereas I play the kind of music that puts most people to sleep) so we sang along while he played a few songs.
We talked a lot too, listened to music in spanish.... ahh what else can I say, I enjoyed myself greatly and I am glad everyone could make it. :)
Today I'm being lazy, snacking on leftovers from yesterday teehee, and I think in a while I will go watch a movie or so. The weather is not so great today so it's a nice day to stay at home.
Also, on saturday, Jeroen and I went shopping for house stuffies. We saw a couch that we liked, and we will probably go buy it next week. One of ours desperately needs replacement, it's old and broken and the stuffing is coming out heheh, so it's about time we got a new one. I also spotted some pretty kitchen chairs four our table. Up till now we only have foldable chairs but I'd like to have something nicer for when my parent's come here. I know mom and I tend to sit on the kitchen table and yap away for hours, so I'd like to have a comfy chair! ;D (and they will look prettier for sure)
We will also go to the IKEA one of these days, to get a new bookcase as the one we had has fallen appart. We checked out a few around here but none of them looked sturdy enough, so we will have to see what IKEA has to offer. I'm curious :)
