New Year Aftermath
Yesterday we had a pretty relaxed day at home. We actually left the bed around 2 or 3 in the afternoon, so that we wouldn't feel too sleepy while partying heheh.
We did a bit of shopping, and spent the rest of the day chilling, watching TV and being lazy.
After dinner, Jeroen and I got ready to go to what used to be our appartment when I first moved to Holland, and we met all the gang there. We got together for drinks and snacks, and watched the fireworks at 12.00 from the 8th floor. It was quite awesome, I had never seen them from that high! :)
At 12.45, a taxibus came to pick us up and take us to Deventer, where we were going to party. (Het Burgerweeshuis) It was nice, fun music, lots of drinks and snacks to choose from
The price was all inclusive, so people drank a little bit too much than usual, everyone kept going for a round of beer at the same time and people sometimes ended up with two glasses in one hand heheh.
Around 4 or so, Jeroen started feeling ill again. It happened too last week in Mexico after the Christmas Party. I guess he's learned the hard way that he's getting old and his body ain't what it used to be heheh. He's still feeling like shit, poor thing. To that, add that he was feeling a bit clogged in the nose... He was just not fit for a wild night out I think, and it's taken its toll now. We'll see how he feels like tomorrow and if he can call in sick, as he hasn't been able to eat much or move around without feeling ill.
We were back in Apeldoorn around 6 in the morning, we crashed at our friends' appartment, and around 2 I cycled back on my own to feed the cat. Jeroen followed later when he felt fitter to cycle. (when he came back home he literally flopped on the bed for hours, he didn't look good)
