Last weekend was quite fun. On saturday Jeroen and I decided to cycle to the animal shelter/pension that will take care of our cat while we're on holidays. The place seems very quiet and peaceful, but it took us, what, about an hour or so to cycle there, so it's definitely a no-no to bring the cat on a crate like that. We hope we can ask someone to give us a ride there, else we will need to take a bus but still walk quite a while carrying the cat. :/
After that we went downtown, did a bit of shopping, ate a sandwich at the Subway, and went to buy HP tickets for the evening show.
So we went home, chilled a bit, had dinner and then went off to the movies. I enjoyed it a lot, however the cinema has no airco, can you imagine how bad it was to be inside? I really felt sick towards the end of the movie. No airco and no ventilation whatsoever. It was hot and stuffy as hell.
But yeah, the movie was ok. Though I still think they didn't do justice to book 4, and as usual, crammed in details that could have been left out (like Rita Skeeter, they could have totally skipped her IMHO) and cut others.
And the KKK-Death eaters were ridiculous.
It's also a shame that the movie didn't convey what the Cruciatus curse is. Yeah, it makes you feel pain, but the way it is described in the books cannot be compared to what we saw in the movie. Just my 2 cents.
Anyway! We had agreed to meet our friends downtown after the movie, but since it dragged on and on and on, it was about 12 when we finally left the cinema, and we decided to go straight home instead and go to bed, as we had a busy day on Sunday anyways.
Sunday morning, we got up kinda earlyish, and took the bus/train to Amsterdam, where I met Holls and her family. We all went to the theater version of AMADEUS. It was very good, with live music and all. Athough I would have loved to hear more music and less monologue lol, I think it was really good and I had a great time.
Holly and her family showered us with gifts, which made me felt really bad as I was carrying nothing but a battered copy of WoW for Holls lol, but I really wasn't expecting any presents.
Anyway, I got an adorable bird painting, a bookmark, a spray-bottle for my plant, candles for my parents, christmas lights which I have put on my window now yay, incense... So yeah I was like "eeep no!" but I will try to find something nice for them in Mexico.
After the show we went to the hotel where Holly's sister works and had a yummy bite there. Then we headed home, with a bit of rain but no train delays or anything, so it was a very smooth ride.
w00t for weekend. It was nice seeing the Hollsah again. *coughNOTcough* ;D
