I was 9 when Miami lost to Notre Dame in a close one, 31-30 after a failed 2 point conversion. I was a 9-year-old who didn't feel like eating pizza my parents ordered and just sat on the edge or our pool not wanting to swim.
I've grown and not let things get to me quite like that. I have felt bummed after close and not so close losses for Miami since then but I don't think I've had that feeling again till Saturday night. They've been losing. But, to show up with no emotion on their last night at the OB; I just couldn't believe it.
Maybe it's better that they didn't lose a close one Saturday night. I think that would have been even more frustrating.
Thoughts? Feelings? Can Shannon get them in the mindset they were in for Texas A&M and FSU for at least one of the upcoming games? Is there anything to look forward to next year? I'd at least like to think the QB situation can only improve with Mavre coming in. Let's hope.
Wright and Freeman remind me of the lame duck tandem of Costa and Collins.
