this week's goals.

-clean out my room. not just tidy it up, but clean out everything. i've accumulated way too much shit i don't need and it's pissing me off.
-get textbooks for uni. i started uni today, i was supposed to buy books about three weeks ago but never really got around to it. oops.
-buy printer ink cartridges. the ones in the printer at the moment are fucked but neither dad nor my brother really care enough to do anything about it. and i need to print lots of shit for uni each week. cartridges are so expensive. sad face.
-finish sewing projects. i just finished making a beanbag for my bedroom, and have just about finished making a matching pillow for it. it's pretty cute. i also have a dress and a shirt that i bought from vintage shops ages ago that need altering, and i want to make a vinyl bag for uni inspired by this bag i saw on ebay a while ago. i'm going to an alice in wonderland themed party in a few weeks so i want to get started on making a queen of hearts costume for that too - i want to make it as extravagant as possible, i want to put it in my folio that i will present if i ever decide to apply to fashion school.
-start working out, and cut down on cigarettes. so this could be more of a long-term goal, but i've just recently been thinking about how much more i would get out of my life if i was healthier. i'm enjoying smoking less and less these days, so i'm going to try not to smoke for the rest of the week and restrict it to when i drink. i've been really interested in pilates and swing dancing for a while so i'm going to see if i can do a casual class this week to see what they're like.
-buy some thumbtacks. i have this amazing, AMAZING poster of keith richards in my room that i've stuck to my wall with blu-tack, but it's made out of quite a heavy paper (it could almost be considered cardboard?) so it's constantly falling down. and i have an equally amazing 2oo8 calendar that i got with french vogue a couple of months ago but have nothing to put it up on my wall with. i came to the conclusion quite a while ago that thumbtacks are the answer to both these problems, but haven't done anything about it.
-get boots mended. i bought these beautiful white boots off ebay years ago, and not long after i got them, the zip broke off the left one. i can still wear them under tight jeans but i really want to expand their versatility. i'm really into utilising everything in my wardrobe these days.
-get photos developed. i have this awesome collection of photos saved onto my computer that i want stuck on my bedroom wall. i printed some out but the overall quality is just shit so i want to get them professionally developed, i might even get them to add a white border, that could be nice? haha. i'm such a tosser. but yeah i'm putting them all on a cd now so i can take it to a shop to get them done.

so it's a pretty big list, but i think if i wake up early enough tomorrow i can get most of it done. i know it's only early in the week but i have uni on wednesday, work on thursday and friday, and by the time it gets to the weekend it'll be too late for me to bother trying, as well as the fact that i am virtually permanently drunk on weekends. ps. thank you galadarling for inspiring me to write this!
