THE GAP OF THE GENERATIONS

parents somehow always think that everything their kids experience has to be a mirror of their own. It's like they can't even begin to wrap their minds around the fact that situations outside their scope of understanding (and experiencing) can exsist, or should I say, is actually more of a reality for their kids. Concepts that shakes the roots of their hardcore family values (not values..but teachings?) is almost impossible to introduce (especially foreign ones cause they blame those on a corrupted culture); is today not the day where everything is backed up by reason and sensibility? I especially dislike when they attribute their wisdom on age alone.

Because I scoff at this old fashionedness, I've come to regard grown-ups with much disdain; I continue to hold myself haultly with my false sense of supriority and look down on people who posses much more common sense than me........ and then gradually I slowly become far more close-minded than these close-minded folks.
