Emmy?
[He's hesitant, until he hears her yelling about what he assumes to be a monster. Since the whole bloody planet is full of them. So when she's found somewhere safe, he's still staring expectantly at the communicator. He was worried that she'd been hurt like he needs more of this in his life, so he hasn't moved from the spot since she darted off.]

Luke, for you it might have been three years since you last saw her, but for Emmy it's only been a few minutes.
BRB quickly picking up that communicator. You have no idea how relieved she is to hear a familiar voice in this place.]
Luke, is that you?! Where are you?
[She'll save the Assistant No. 2 comments until after she finds him and figures out where the hell she is.]

[It's been a rough week, Emmy. Pardon his momentary look of panic, until he realizes she's just wet and not hurt. He rubs his eyes.]
I'm in Discedo... Where are you? Are you hurt?
[He's trying not to act too nervous, or at least not to let it show.]

[Emmy on the other hand, is hiding her own worry. Discedo? Where on earth is that? She thought this place was called Spero, so where was this Discedo place?]
Discedo? Would that happen to be anywhere near someplace called Spero?
And is there anyone with you?

[Luke will worry because lately that seems like it's all there is to do.]
Um...it's just me, for now. Me and Claire, the cat. Flora and Clive are both here also.
[He's quiet for a moment, and frowns.]
You just missed the Professor, though. He was sent home earlier this week. Before that, I lived with him.

[She's not very happy about that news, and it shows. But, right now there's more important matters to worry about. Mainly that she and Luke are apparently in different cities, and Luke is living with a cat.
Yeah, not okay with any of this.]
So apparently you can be sent home here? And I suppose you wouldn't know how to get from Spero to this Discedo place, would you?
[Whether he knows or not, she's figuring out a way to get there.]

[Yes well that is why you are the first person to find out that he is actually just living with a cat and nobody else.]
People go home and come back a lot.
[He fidgets, frowning.]
I'm not sure. There might be a boat? I know there's a subway between Discedo and Dissimulo, but I'm not sure how people get back and forth from Spero..
[He's quiet a minute, and then so suddenly relieved that someone simply said that they were going to come and didn't ask that he just nods, eyes wide. He wasn't fond of admitting how much he just wanted someone to come and be at the house with him, so much so that he wouldn't ask, but he was visibly relieved that Emmy had simply told him so.]

The water had mostly receded by now, and Emmy figured it was safe to start moving again.]
Either a boat or subway, is it...?
[She's not really sure which one to try first, but she starts walking anyway. She catches the look of relief, before smiling a bit.]
Good. This is quite the mystery we've got on our hands here, I'm not sure what to make of it...

[Luke tries to look relaxes, and not so obviously relieved that she's coming. Because he's sure that he probably isn't supposed to make such a spectacle of himself.]
I'm not really sure either. Sometimes people think that the scientists brought us here to help rebuild the towns, but I'm not really sure since they don't do much to help us..

[Well except for the whole water dragon, but you know. Currently she's going over the options in her head, and it seems like the boat might be the riskier option.
As she heads out, she's looking for the subway. Honestly she has no idea what she's looking for, but it had to be around here somewhere, right?]
Scientists, you say? Sounds like the plot is thickening! You'll have to fill me in on the details when I get there.

[He nods warily.]

Well, this looks like the place. It might take a little while to get there, but I'll contact you when I arrive, all right?
[That is code for "turn off the communicator and go get some sleep".]

[But Luke will never follow instructions completely as told. So instead of just shutting the communicator, he decides he will wait for Emmy at the subway station. Except he has no idea how long it takes for the subway to get there.]
[So, when she gets to the subway, she will find him sitting on a dilapidated-looking bench. Sound asleep.]

Still, she's about to fish the communicator out of her pocket when she notices the boy sleeping on a bench not too far away.]

[Dude she meant wait for her to contact you, not go find her yourself.]

Assistant Number Two, you do know you'd be defeating the purpose of me coming all the way out here if you're just going to get eaten by whatever is out there, don't you?
[She's seen dragons and other strange creatures out there. And this place didn't look secure enough to fall asleep in. What she gonna do with you, bro?
She sighs as she approaches the sleeping boy, right before ruffling his hat a little.]
Time to wake up, Assistant Number Two.

[When she ruffles his hat, however, she gets a very different reaction. This is Luke jumping about seven feet in the air. He hasn't been sleeping very well since Layton left--not that he'd ever admit to it--but the knowledge that someone was coming was enough for him to knock out while waiting. That did not stop him from being on edge.]
[He blinks at her blearily, rubbing his eyes, one hand grabbing at his hat to try and fix it.]
Don't mess up m'hat..
[Okay, he's actually awake now. He can tell he's probably in trouble, and frowns sheepishly.]
