Isn't it amazing to be able to write a whole Reita x Ruki (I'm so sorry, but Reituki or whatever you call it sounds like some kind of extinct bird or something...) without, well, Ruki? From Kai's POV, on top of that. But this is captivated me from the very beginning, because despise that it takes more then two thirds of the story for Kais name to be mentioned, you knew right from the start who opened that door. The personalities shine without being stereotyped, and coalhowse makes them likable with flaws and everything. There's a writing style more smooth then Gackt, because it somehow seems like there's a story under the story that is being told at the same time. There is those tiny tiny details that makes it all so lovely - Rukis dog, oh god, Rukis dog, and how Reita takes care of that little bugger, and Ruki being there withour being there and Kai, oh Kai how I love thee and they're all so adorable here, you just want to cuddle them all to pieces and Rukis dog. She just might be my new favorite GazettE member thanks to this.
It's not really long, unfortunately - I'd really have liked it for be more to it, because it felt like it was onto something - a lot of things, maybe - but even through that might have been a point at the end for them to remain, I can't help but feeling like it ended too soon. Even so, it's a quick read very very worth your time.
