Report: U.S. Leads World In Lost Sunglasses
WASHINGTON, DC-According to a report by the Bureau of Accessory Statistics, each year the U.S. loses more pairs of sunglasses per person than any other nation. "Over 1.6 billion pairs of sunglasses are lost by Americans concerned with shielding their eyes from excess light and harmful UVA radiation," the report read. "This works out to six pairs of sunglasses per American per year, or 50 pairs of sunglasses lost every second." In second place, Italy has a lost-sunglasses rate of one pair per citizen per year, followed by Japan, Iceland, and Portugal with loss rates of .23, .19, and .16 respectively.
On another funny note my roomie has her geology exam tomorrow and she has to know most of the countries and capitals in the whole world.. so when she got to south america and to columbia she pronouonced the capital to be like this: ba-gota when its more like Bógota.. but whit a silent acent on the first o... lol.. now its probably funner hearing it but oh well u get the jist..hopefully!
So i was coming back from the lounge and all of a sudden ... i saw this kid in some kind of horse costume.. he had a blow up horse/donkey around his waste.. a cowboy hat on and a bandanna around his nose and mouth...now at frist i thought i was hallucinating but when the kid back tracked and stopped to wave at me.. he was definately real... its not the kinda thing you see every day, but hey it is finals week and people seriously go fricken inscane! I think its the best thing i have seen all year.
So Nemo..(yes that fun loving clown amemone fish from finding Nemo)... appears in my ISB notes.. just thought u would like to know...since i found it amusing while studying...at least i will get the question right.
in other news i have been making an 80's-early 90's sorta play list with all the classic songs.. my personal favorite.. the final countdown! i have about 65 songs on it! Hell yeah! i guess ever since Big Kid day i have felt the need to re-live all the classic songs..
..and also to relive my childhood the title to this entry Kids Play with Clay Outside For Good Sunshine in an accronym for my ISB exam... Kingdom, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species for the hierarchical levels of the different spieces levles.. yeah iam a dork but who would want to remember the right worlds.. its more fun this way... i mean how else would u have learned the planets or colors in the rainbow?
