or Pointedly Not Doing So. both are really quite equally prioritized in my mind...the latter perhaps winning, as it involved Reading A Book Instead.

Well, depends on the teacher I suppose. I'd choose apush under my current teaching arrangement, though. And this is from me, the math guy, so I suggest not taking chem.
