It had started like any other day. Alec had woken up and slowly gotten out of bed, tired from a long night of acquiring 'misplaced property' with Max. His morning ritual of a shower, black coffee and no breakfast had been the same; Along with the twenty mintue ride to work. In fact, Alec would have never thought twice about this day until Max had greeted him at work. There had only been a small 'hey Alec', accompanied by a quick glance, but for some reason the way she had said his name made Alec smile too.
