the secret of valentines day :D
ok. so this is for eaveryone hating on valentines day...and even those who aren't. i've always loved valentines day- always, regardless of my dating status. want to know why? here a just a few reasons...
"The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." -Zephaniah 3:17
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporart, but what is unseen is eternal." -2 Corinthians 4:14
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." -1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
"And this is my prayer; that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ." -Philippians 1: 9-10
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." -Romans 5:8
it's not about candy, hearts, and flowers...those things are fun, but they shouldn't be our focus. i love valentines day because i can celebrate pure, unadulterated love...the love between us and God. everything else will fade away, but the love of God lasts forever. i get warm fuzzies just thinking about it :D
so all you haters out there, enjoy. valentine's day can be fun after all :)
on a side note, to a certian friend i met around this time last year, you're not a sore spot ;D
