Pulling out another cigarette stick from his pocket, he reached for his lighter and lit it before taking a long drag. Small, pale hands shout out and pulled the cigarette from his mouth and replaced it with soft, pink lips, effectively throwing the cigarette somewhere else. Strong, lean arms pulled him closer and his automatic response was wrapping his arms around the other boy’s neck. Both boys pulled away and rested their foreheads against each other’s.
“Ryu-chan, I thought you promised you wouldn’t smoke anymore?” There was that cute pout again. Said boy just pecked his boyfriend and laughed lightheartedly, “Gimme a break, Chii. Quitting smoking is actually hard to do.” Chinen’s eyebrows furrowed. “Why do you find it so addictive, anyways? I only see a death stick.” He scrunched his face in disgust. Wrapping his arms around the younger boy, tears slowly sliding down his cheeks, he whispered, “Ryu-chan, I don’t know what I’ll ever be without you so please, don’t ever leave me. I love you so much.” The other boy returned the hug, squeezing a little tight. “I promise, Chii. I’m not going anywhere without you. I love you, too.”
The cold wind blew and it chilled the passers-by but two boys, entangled in each other’s embrace were blushing and flushing and forgetting the world around them. Whispering promises of an eternity with each other, a single flower bud bloomed and the laughter of children rang throughout. Love is in the air, for sure.
