By now I'm sure you've noticed the Jolly Roger flying proudly in my userpic box. Let me take a moment to explain that.

You ask me, which are better: pirates, or ninjas? I answer: ninjas. So why fly the pirate flag? Because pirates have it within them to be every bit as glorious as ninjas, they just choose not to.

What is it that makes pirates totally lame? Many things. Greed, violence, theft, dishonor, and poor hygiene top the list. So what if the pirates remained, but all these things were taken away? What you would have is a band of fun-loving, swashbuckling, courageous, highly skilled warriors and tradesmen who sail the high seas in search of fame, fortune, adventure, what have you. Now that, right there, is totally sweet.

So in short, my Jolly Roger is a protest against the prevailing evil and lameness of a way of life that needn't be so. It is a symbol of strength, perseverence, courage, and ambition.

Everyone should have one.

P.S. I made it myself using only Microsoft Paint. It is entirely original; the skull doesn't look like any other Jolly Roger's skull that I know of.

P.P.S. In case you're not sure, it's a skull in front of two crossed blue feathers, with three yellow sparkles. "Amatsudaisho" means "Heavenly Scribe".

P.P.P.S. I just heard my dad use the word "jerkwadder" again, in casual speech. He was speaking to my mom, and it was in reference to the members of some political party he always votes against but who always get elected.
