Tired and crap

Last week we had out of town guests for 3 days. Last weekend my momma was here to help with an art fair in Libertyville that was Saturday and Sunday...best one ever! Libertyville loves that artsy fartsy stuff!
I went to my Dad's house in Michigan on Monday, came home on Wednesday. Took the girls out after we got home on Wed to sign up for classes, eat frosty's, get haircuts and shop for school clothes. We pulled in the driveway and my in-laws are sitting there waiting for us to get home and come in for a visit. I guess they had been waiting for a long time because they were moody. (mostly my dad-in-law) My house is VERY smelly and VERY messy. I've been too occupied to do anything with it for almost 2 weeks. I thought we were getting together next week but they couldn't wait. Oh dear God! So, they invited themselves to stay for dinner and they got burnt pizza and nothing to drink because that's all I had in the house.

Then today, I called my dear, sweet mom to wish her a very happy birthday and we got in a fight!
It ended with bad feelings and she was crying all over the place.

What the fuck!!!!!!!!!
Oh Hell.
I called my Dad for ideas about her and what I should do and during this conversation he brings up how mom told him about her visit to a "psychic" for tarot card readings and blah blah blah. Holy shit - I AM HER READER! He is ultra christian conservative and totally against anything like that. I've never told him that side of my life. He knows a lot about how I feel about church and religion but not that part. I was SURE I was going to get into this conversation with him today. I don't think I could have taken another thing to deal with.
I told him that THAT subject was something to talk about another time and he understood and just stayed on track with the "mom" thing.

I'm glad I called my Dad.
He knows just what to say and is really there when I need him.

Well, I am done venting and getting all emotional for a while.
Dinner needs to be made and the laundry is calling again.

Where did the summer go?
