I listened to the speech over radio during second period today, and.. I really really really felt like crying, right there on the spot. Such conviction in his speech is what America needed, and.. I needed, during this crisis that we are currently living in.. and all. We needed someone strong and affirmative, not impulsive and brash, readily using brute force to get to one's means. After 9/11, I felt that Bush was reassuring and would protect us from anything-- but it was blind fear that shaped this outlook. Ever since second grade, i've slowly grown to learn that things aren't in black and white, you can't just bash "evil" on the head with a stick and declare freedom and liberty the WINNER~, force your 'righteous mission' in places without consequence, and believe that with these measures, no one can ever be hurt ever again. Letting fear run rampant is what kept Bush and Cheney in office for 8 years, letting them pull stuff on us like the Patriot Act and keeping many of their business matters hush-hush from the public. I am never going to blindly trust someone, believing their actions for the sake of our protection ever ever again.
During the inauguration, I bet Alfred smiled through his tears. <3
ANYWAY. Today decides to be the MUTHERFUCKING DAY MY SATELLITE DOESN'T WORK. So i'm going to try to watch all of the inauguration clips of Obama online, but I dunno if they post alot of it onliine.. I found the speech on Youtube though, so imma check that motherfucker out :D I hear he messed up his oath? Or the other guy messed it up for him? HAHAHA, ACE;;;
My dad today, when I got in through the front door after school he was all "Lucy, I want you to look at your wall when you go inside". So guess what I saw.
A FUCKING WANTED RAPIST POSTER TAPED ON MY WALL. MY SIDE OF THE WALL. With an eyewitness drawing of the rapist in question, WHAT THE FUCK. =___= Apparently, yesterday there was an attempted rape just a walk up the street from where I live (so that's what all those searchlights in the night sky were for;;; <- is a fucking idiot LOL) The fugitive barged in through the back door, attempted a rape, and then dashed out the front door-- at least that's what the police told my dad. I got SO mad, I mean, why would should I have a disturbing poster facing me in MY ROOM?! My dad is such an idiot, he could have just told me about the situation and then shown me the poster then, but NO. BECAUSE HE IS A DOUCHEBAG AND HE HAS TO SPREAD AROUND HIS AUTHORITY or something. I really hope to become articulate one day so I can be able to describe to you guys how bad my dad is without sounding like a 14 year old who doesn't know anything.
But until then, I am a 14 year old kid who doesn't know anything.
