I CAN'T DANCE. I reeeally want a private tutor when it comes to matters like these. I don't want to hold the team down.. it seems like everyone's got it down pat except me. We've only rehearsed 5 seconds into the routine too, so.. I REALLY don't want to be the worthless asset of the beginners team. It's just.. I'm not a fast learner =__=; (even thought we spent 2 hours over the same 5 second routine ahahaha) Next week, we're going to be taught transitions, so i'm assuming that we have to already know the routine pretty well by then. Ugh.. dancing isn't all that it's cracked up to be :/ ARRGH why can't I overcome my difficulties?!
I volunteered for Young Nak Sharefest festival for the 2nd time~ Our official volunteer t-shirts look much better than last year's, so that was a plus. But.. our jobs were REALLY BORING. There were no rides this year; instead we manned these small game booths including..
Paint Swirl booth! GET YOUR PAINT SWIRLS! 4x5 make your own paint swirl for a buck.. >_>;
Basketball booth! Make the shot and win a lollipop! ..for a buck.
GOOOLF-- that's self explanatory.
Luckily, I was paired up to manage the booths with the best person in the world :D her name is Maggie~ ugh, I swear, she can make the most boring situations become fun... what a life saver! I really want to be like her one day~
I monitored the kids inside the kiddy bouncers later. The job is not as fun as I thought it'd be.. it was the most stressful thing ever. THIS time, my personal guardian angel paired me up with Lorrie, and she's FANTASTIC with kids. Every time a kid fell from jumping, I was wondering whether I should pick them up or not (after all, they may not like that..!) Lorrie just dived straight into the job. Her mood seemed really low.. I thought it was just from the stress the kids were giving us, but then on her Facebook, her status goes: 'I hate my life' @__@ I must be the most oblivious-to-the-atmosphere person in the universe. I can't really talk to people though so, I don't know what I would have done even if I had noticed it regardless. :/ I hate being so socially retarded -__-
KOREANS ARE THE STINGIEST PEOPLE EVER. I split with my friend the price for Korean BBQ, and they only gave us one tiny serving of rib. Like a deck of cards. And, that IS the serving of meat the government reccomends, but dude we paid 7 dollars for a feast! Also, this year, they didn't give us free lunch tickets to any food booth we wanted (like they did last year). Korean kids are really trendy too XD half of the younger kids had these highlights in their hair, and wavy hair perms (or maybe that's natural). And I was like *A* when I heard them say "oppa! oppa!!" Another *A* moment was when the elderly Koreans thanked me for my volunteering work, cause you know elderly people are awesome KAWAIII♥. Oh, and Council member Ed Reyes patted my shoulder and told us what a nice job we were doing to our community or something. Whatevs. (Most of the Korean churchgoers don't even live around here... -__- they're nice and safe in the Valley 9_9;)
But anyway. I need to take a shower, and try to get some work done.
