Livejournal has become more of a Vegas Journal for me. My last Vegas trip was at the beginning of this month, so it's been awhile but I like to write about my Vegasing so that i can keep track of myself.
I worked Friday night until 2am and we drove up as soon as I got home and finished packing. It was the best possible time to make that drive. There was not a soul on the roads and we drive out of the sunset. I highly recommend the drive. As soon as we got there we went to the buffet and drank shitty mimosas and chardonnay. Ate delicious crepes. Gambled. and slept. I woke up at 4 pm to get ready for my big night. THE JONAS BROTHERS CONCERT. I bought this wonderful bubblegum pink dress that was short and sparkly and ridiculous and awful and perfect all at the same time. I did my hair real nice and my makeup real pretty and went to the concert all by myself. It was really fun and even though I bought the cheapest possible ticket I got a really fantastic seat because I was all by myself so they just put me in the closest single seat. I was hoping to sit next to a dad and daughter in which the dad reallly did not want to be there so he would buy me drinks in exchange for my company. My plan kinda worked. I did indeed sit next to a dad and daughter and the dad really did not want to be there, but, um, the dad was paying 30 bux a shot for Hennessy, and that is true (I asked him) but he certainly did not want to spend anymore on my drinks and he was the type that drank Hennessy, if you know what I mean so I had no chance in hell. But because it was the Jonas Brothers the bar line was nonexistant, and I was in an aisle seat so needless to say by the enf of the show I was wasted McGee.
*I didn't know where to fit this in but I find it to be a crucial detail to the story. I went to the show not because I love the Jonas Brothers but because I knew the energy of the show would be amazing, and it was. And because I had full intention of feeding off of everyone elses energy I didn't need someone to go with me, especailly if they weren't going to be happy to be there. So I rocked it.
Only Vader and I went to vegas this time. We stayed at Planet Hollywood and The Venetian, and the best part of all that is that we were checked into both hotels at the same time so we could crash wherever we landed. Wonderful.
Like I mentioned, I was schwapped after the concert, and had very little sleep so I crashed really early Saturday night. Like 3am. Vader didn't forget his Vegas pants though so he stayed up all night long gambling and being merry and meeting strange men from Holland. He then got a 4hands massage at like noon and didn't go to sleep until 2pm. So when he went to sleep I woke up and took Vegas by myself. Did some shopping and exploring. I have some regulars that come in every Sunday night and they were all in Vegas the same weekend I was. They had my number but I didn't have theirs so I was really banking on them calling me so I would have someone to go to the pool with or something, But they never called so I went back up the room, had some sex, and promptly passed out again. We woke up at like 11 pm and ordered room service. Carbs and oysters. watched cable television and had some more sex. So Sunday was really truly, the most relaxing day ever. Massages, sex, shopping, room service, and sleep.
By the time it was technically Monday we decided to go out and see what Vegas has to offer after 2am. And surprisingly and disappointingly, nothing, so we drank big yard glasses and walked up and down the strip and landed at The Venetian. We gambled a lot. I love Goldfish. O yea and we ate breakfast at this cute quichy place called Moni Gabi outside of The Paris. it was quite delicious and accompanied by bloody marys and vodka madres'. Then to sleep. I have no idea what time it was but definately after 10 am. We woke up and walked around. I truly dont really remember what we did and then went to this fabulous italian restaurant called Valentino and its sort of hidden and very expensive and fancy and we were really truly the only english speaking people in the whole place discluding the serving staff. we got this neat 5-course tasting menu and the wine tasting menu that paired with it. It was soooo neat. Every plate had three small portions of a different thing. So first we had a salad course paired with a rose champagne, then a pasta course with a red wine blend, then a fish course with a chardonnay aged in concrete barrels so it was outrageously smooth and delicious, then a meat course with a red wine, and then a dessert course with a really interesting wine that was like a white port almost, and it really was not all that delicious but it tasted good with the desserts and the grapes are grown exclusively on lava on one specific volcano so that made up for its lack in deliciousness. Needless to say by the end of the meal we were stuffed and drunk. After dinner we had planned to embark on our journey home and that just was not going to happen so we made some calls, got our shifts covered for Tuesday and crashed at Planet Hollywood. (we had already booked the room for Monday night thinking that way we could just sleep in as late as we wanted, but we shouldve known then that we would use it as an excuse to stay an extra night. I dont think we did much of anything that night but we stayed up late and drank a lot and I saw Holly Madison walking her dog through the casino, and we ordered creme brulee from room service and slept in late and then came home.
Although not nearly as wild as our Vegas trips usually end up being, it was really amazing and nice. We're not planning on going back again until December for Briana's birthday. Who wants to come?
In other news, we are moving out of The Bellagio East. And I am considering Lasik. I figure it'll be just barely more than the monthly cost of contacts if I do the Lasik on a payment plan. And I know I'll do it someday. Why not now when I am rolling in cash because I am living the service industry life?
Which I love, by the way.
