Went for a nice shopping spree today with mom and finally discovered something new...
I normally have my music pumping loud, heavy beats and everything in my room, and normally it's mom who tells me to lower the volume....
(of course we had a volume war in the car...she would lower the volume on red lights, and I would higher on green lights)
But for a long time I've been searching for a few songs that I haven't been able to get my hands on and suddenly they're all playing from mom's recorded tape cassette in the car....some songs similar to my heavy pounding drums at home and I discover that mom loves them too, it just depends on what language it's sung in, along with how it's presented..but wow, for a while mom and I were just rocking with the music. Awesome...
Also discovered that my dad has a mushy side with music too, granted that he likes certain singers' styles, but in particular this one song he listened to very often and finally we figured out the reason....a slow, sappy song sang by a woman titled, (or translated to anyway), "supporting the man". More specifically, a woman singing about how she cares for and fully supports her 'man'. It had a very nice (and very SLOW) pace, but after hearing the translation, somehow it seemed to give the song more meaning...hmm....
Dad has a mushy side~
