Being in Chicago makes me realize just how much I want to live here. I've been staying with Howie and Eliot in the city where a guy from high school, Craig, lives. He's really nice, and I love his apartment. Last night we had dinner and drinks with their cousins, Josh and Allie. Josh makes a bunch of money as the director of sales for something, and his apartment is amazing! It is on the 9th floor and really swanky. It overlooks the city. From Craig's window on the 22nd floor, I can see Wrigley Field!!! That's amazing too. Josh told Howie that he would get him a job (six figures, hello!) if he moved here. The money doesn't even matter, but even half of it would help since I would have to get an Illinois teaching license and go to Graduate School. I've heard it's really expensive here, but whatever. I love it so much! It's not snowing yet, it's actually only between 34 and 50 degrees now. I want it to snow so bad!!!! I love the people here! Last night we were walking down Craig's street, and this guy walked by holding up a baggie of pot and scrutinizing it. The guy was like, "Hell yeah!" It was funny. I love this place! (have I said that yet?) Anyway, the only thing that sucks here (not the weather!) is the fact that it's dark by 530! We're in Central time, so we have to celebrate New Year's a year after my family and everyone else in Florida.
I love you guys so much! Expect my phone call at your 12am tomorrow night!!
Be safe!
Oh yeah, I saw the Hancock and Sears Tower yesterday! Josh is taking us on a tour at 3pm (4pm florida) to see the great stuff. We were in a cab riding by Lak Michigan, and all you could see was icy land and the water was all icy and choppy. That's hot! WOO
