There once was a happy girl
She felt like she owned the world
Her happiness overflowed
But of the flames she did not know

She tried to flee from the pain
Hiding with a smile on her face
But she could not escape for long
The fire was there all along

Black ashes on the ground
Black ashes all around
Black ashes in the air
Black ashes everywhere

She couldn’t resist the flame
Though it brought her pain
She grew more depressed everyday
Till the fire took her away

Kerosene and a match
She thought it was all she had
Burnt skin I would smell, and fire I would see
And her screams will always haunt my dreams
