So. Serenity. I've seen it three times now. My short review is this: Oh. My. God.

However, I can't not ramble incoherently about this movie. So we here go. By the way, I'm writing and posting this before I read anyone else's thoughts. I'm definitely perusing my flist tomorrow and jumping into many a Serenity discussion.

Seriously, girl, did you have a tape recorder with you? You remember SO many details, and it's amazing! I am in AWE. Seriously, awe.

And guess what? I say.... DITTO ON EVERYTHING. I'm not kidding! We are THE SAME PERSON. Kaylee was the only thing that felt off to me too!!! And of course, of course I loved the Simon/River. Overly romantic, hell yes! Absolutely beautiful. And then Mal/River? Aw! I lovelovelove it. I love how she pulls her knees to her chest all girlishly in the last scene.

The one thing I have a slight disagreement with you on is the lighting on the "I aim to misbehave" scene. While visually beautiful, I kept waiting for Mal to become clearer because, dammit, I wanna icon River sitting like that in front of Mal standing there! :P Seriously, that's what I was thinking during that. It was perfectly framed, but you couldn't see Mal's face :(

Those dinosaurs BETTER be on the bridge.

It is an obsession, isn't it? Oh dear :P Right now I really, really, really want to make an icon of Simon holding River when she first wakes up from cryo. Just that shot.... augh. So beautiful. But that would require taking out the DVD, starting it up, finding the scene... work, work, work! :P
