"From the moment they are born, everyone has the right to live."

That's still true, right? Whether here or Sylvarant or Tethe'alla, I believe it is. But...how can I make someone else understand that?

We couldn't make Mithos understand before it was too late. I don't want this to be like that. I don't want to kill somebody again.

*plot: dhaos, rated a for angst, let's work together for a peaceful world, always a chosen at heart

I'm not sure... but we'll find a way to do it.

When you say that, I start to think we can do anything.

That's because we can! Dwarven Vow #16: You can do anything if you try.

For some, you can't.

That doesn't mean you can't try.

Did I say that?

No, but there's always a chance that he could understand!

If someone else refuses to understand something as simple as that, there's nothing you can do but protect innocent people's right to live.

There has to be a way to make him understand. I'm not sure how, but there has to be a way.

If we're talking about the same bastard, here- well, I won't deny that there is a way. It's up to him to make that choice.

Don't know how likely it is that he's willing to listen to reason during battle, though.

Then we should try! I want to protect everyone and make him understand.

Yes, please don't let others discourage you, Colette. I assume you are referring to that horrible man who declared war?

I won't. I won't let anything stop me from protecting people. But I wish I could convince him, because he has a right to live, too.

I find him rather despicable at the moment-

But you are entirely correct. Any sort of death... is really a sad thing.

Everyone? Even if they need to disappear to save something else?

I once thought that way. But no one should have to be a sacrifice.

Well, that's an optimistic way of looking at it. It's not always what happens, though.

Maybe not, but I want it to be more than just an ideal.
