straight jacket fun

RPG LJ meme, stolen from griefer who is a gigantic fag that's never on AIM anymore.

where and when did you start rping?
Brazilian chat, I kid you not. Just so dinky back then. It was pretty massive, I don't know how it works and if it still works.

do you rp anywhere other than lj?
I don't roleplay in forums anymore, which I kind of miss but there's nothing interesting out there and/or they're too elitists for my taste, but I do roleplay at InsaneJournal.

do you play in any public games?
Yes and I kind of not join private RPGs, I've never actually understood the point of private games. I joined that sex game once under a fake account, just to see what the fuck was going on there. Had a good laugh, dropped after a week.

do you prefer first-person comment spam or prose logging?
Either, really. It depends on the mood.

what was the first character you ever played?
I don't actually remember my first OC, though one of them was definitely markedbullets, who has come a long, long way since then. Lol, she started as a blonde, too. Huh, maybe Sirius, and, no, not the Harry Potter one, I had it before that, thank you very much. Fandom wise, Kaworu Nagisa from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

who's your favorite character to play now and why?
OC wise, definitely everyone. Lol, they're all different in their own way and I like playing them, but especially my older kids (markedbullets, smokingrockstar, immortalizes). As for fandom characters, that's a bit of a tricky question. I like roleplaying a lot of them. I guess my top five are Dante from DMC4, Shane from The L Word, Tokidoki from Amatsuki, Jubilee from Marvel and Cook from Skins.

what's the longest you've ever consistently played one character?
I... don't know? I'm actually terrible at keeping up with a character, but I think it's either unwrittenfate or badassinred, though both are a bit of an on-and-off deal.

what's your biggest rp pet peeve?
There are a couple, lmao. Nothing ranks as high as elitists, though. It's just RPG, you dumb fucks, you're not getting an award for you purple prose. I never had an application rejected (someone just asked me to rectify a sample on my Jubilee once), but people who reject applications that have nothing wrong with them make me go "uweh", as well as people who take the game TOO FUCKING SERIOUSLY. God, it's supposed to be fun. Oh, and fucking tildes.

do you read rp secrets and the rp anon meme?
Yes to the first, so-so to the second. RP!S is fun to read due to drama, though I get annoyed at all the censorship the mods go around, you can't have a heated discussion without them freezing a goddamn thread. Yay for censorship of what makes things fun, lol. As for the anon meme, I don't actively read it, but it eventually gets linked here and there and I click every fucking link ever like I'm OCD.

if you've played in public before, do you prefer community based or journal based games?
Community, so I don't have to add/remove journals to my friendlist. Plus, it makes more sense. And I'm lazy.

would you rather play with someone who's very very ic but a mediocre writer or someone who isn't always ic (but not terrible) and a great writer?
Huh, I don't really care. As long as I'm having fun, who cares? I mean, being a great writer is good for the person itself, not I, though I find it much more enjoyable reading three well written and interesting paragraphs than a strictly ic character that gives me a half-assed reply consisting of nothing but reaction to my reply and no action over it. If I really had to pick, I'd say someone who isn't always ic, especially because it means that person has some opinion and formed interpretation of a character, as one should.

do you have a "rp partner"?
Not really, no. Not in the sense this question is being made, at least. There's not one person that I roleplay with more than others. I mean, there are people I enjoy roleplaying with more, but for me, the point of rpg is variety so the more the merrier. I do play more often with other people by chance, like with superflavor, but it's just because it happens, it's not a conscious thing.

do you ever stalk any casts, games, or players? who?
Nope. It's a little silly, if you ask me. I get the idea of checking out of how other players take on the same character as you do, but that's about it. Stalking is way too hardcore for me.

in your opinion, which part of an app is the most difficult/annoying?
When you can't link the fucking background. GOD, IS IT SO WRONG TO LINK IT TO THE WIKIPEDIA/WHATEVER? What's there is what's I'm going to write anyway, goddammit all to hell.

are you one of those people who has to customize their character's journal layout and userinfo?
Y-Yes. I just can't help it, I love making tables and prettying up the layout of a character, especially if I play them a lot. :( I know, I'm a fag.

what was your first game?
Clockwork, though it was on GJ (and then on IJ). Then it was probably kakistocrati, but maybe not. It's still the one I love the most, even if I'm not as active as I used to be.

are there any canons you avoid tagging characters from?
Hetalia, not gonna lie. I won't ignore them if they tag me, but I don't actively seek CR. And I dislike some other fandoms, but I don't avoid them at all (Reborn is the most memorable example), so don't throw that at my face. Hetalia is that one fandom that gets on my nerves. AND I CAN'T LOOK AT THE ICONS, THEY'RE JUST SO UGLY.

most memorable scene in any thread?
I CAN'T FIND THE DANTE/BENKEI DILDO THREAD, BUT IT WAS BEAUTIFUL AND I REGRET NOTHING.

do you rp sex?
Occasionally, but if I can slide out of them (ha ha.) I will.

do you play more males or females?
I don't know, it's either even or more females.

what won't  you rp?
I don't know. Hetalia? Furries?

dressing rooms: yes or no?
Sure, why not. I don't follow them much, but sometimes I'm bored to the point of trying out new characters/new interaction and hey, there you go.

ever rped a pairing?
Yeah, though I don't really like it that much. Dante/Benkei is the exception to the rule. They're hideous and I love them, they're the most beautiful pairing I know.

favorite place to play: musebox, open posts, public games, private games?
I don't like private games, otherwise, I like the three others. They're all pretty different so I can't really give you a favourite place, but I love museboxes because you can just relax with a couple of buddies, open posts for endless possibilities and public games for variation and interesting CR.

talking rp with someone else who plays your character: fun or awkward?
I don't think I do that, because usually, I'm a single player regarding the characters I roleplay. Except for maybe Dante and, recently, Tokidoki, my active characters aren't roleplayed at all. Not that I mind, it's nice to bring in new things, makes things interesting.
So, I watched Wonderfalls and it was the most amazing show ever. How come good shows always end up getting cancelled, I don't get it? I'm not talking about intellectually good here, mind me, I'm talking about fun good. Isn't it what series are supposed to be, fun? A bit of drama here and there, hey, we all like it. It's like Valentine that aired for a couple of episodes, about Greek gods in modern time trying to bring soulmates together, which was so entertaining and yet, it gets cancelled, and then boring shows like Gossip Girl or Bones (no offence to those that like it, just sharing a little bit of my opinion here, and I find both these shows so, so boring) have three thousand episodes and a gazillion of seasons. To be honest, I find that extremely long shows (lol, CSI) end up just boring the shit out of me. Sure, there are examples, like old school shows like Xena, but those were so much fun, not super heavy serious. Exception being probably Battlestar Galactica because, damn, this show was incredible - still, took me about two years to watch the whole thing (I didn't watch while it was airing, since I don't think it aired over here, but I had the whole series). And that was, what? Four seasons long. Do you really need to have shows over three, four seasons, given how most of them have about 20 episodes per season? What happened to quality over quantity? Take The Misfits for example. It's got one season and six episodes and it's one of the best shows I've watched recently - certainly puts Heroes to a corner after beating it up with a crowbar and kicked its face. Really, what ever happened to enjoy a show for the show itself? Nowadays it's just gay fan shipping. That's one of the things that really bothers me. Can't people enjoy a friendship anymore? :\ I find it far more beautiful than shipping, a friendship where two people completely confide in one another. Sure, platonically, it might work, but it's a beautiful thing to see a friendship stronger than a silly pairing that, as far as I'm concerned. Somehow, I think it relates to kids these days. Everyone's too busy getting a love interest to remember that friendship is sometimes brings in the most fulfilling relationships into your life.

Anyway, this ended up being a completely different thing than what it was supposed to be, so, long story short, an opinion, I has it.

I might decide to watch Merlin again, since I usually like the BBC shows a lot. I did watch it for a while, but then I ended up giving up because I got distracted. Let's see if I can buckle down. BBC shows are amazing, they're so much better than most series out there and I don't give a fuck if the CGI on Brit shows isn't as good as the special effects on others. The script, the characters and the plot are generally so much more compelling, so well written and with such an amazing casting team, they don't need visual aid to cover up plot holes (not saying they don't exist because it exists everywhere, but they're not blatant). They're usually spot on with their casting, I swear to God they pick the perfect actors for each and very role.

I'm... drifting off again. SO LET'S END THIS BY SAYING I FUCKING LOVE THIS NEW DEFAULT SO MUCH. HAAAYYYY GUYYTHHH. Also, ow, cramps.

just a thought put your weapons down, fandom, meme, one of those vagina moments, release the cthulhus, rant, there's an opinion on the internet, rpg
