There's No Escape...

The best bit about listening to George Harrison's music was that it had nothing to do with Fleetwood Mac...it was a complete break away... no link...

Or so I thought... there are actually quite a few links between the two... far too many if you ask me...

...

*Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac has recorded several songs with Ringo Starr of the Beatles (that obscure group George was in)...

*Mick Fleetwood's former wife was Jenny Boyd, sister of Pattie Boyd who was married to George Harrison, and subsequently left him for an affair with Eric Clapton... Jenny also left Mick Fleewtood to have an affair with another member of Fleetwood Mac... must be something in the genes...

*Former Fleetwood Mac member, Dave Mason, recoreded, toured and jammed frequently with George Harrison...

*Former band member, Bekka Bramlett, is the daughter of famous country-western husband and wife duo "Delaney & Bonnie & Friends" with whom George Harrison frequently toured... George worked with Delaney Bramlett to write his famous song "My Sweet Lord"...

*Former band member, Billy Burnette, co-wrote several songs for Delanie & Bonnie & Friends...

*Former member, Dave Mason, also formed the band Traffic with Jim Capaldi..another great friend of George Harrison...

*George Harrison was great friends with Eric Clapton, with whom he recorded "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"... Eric Clapton used to be a band lead by John Mayall (another friend of George's) called the Bluesbreakers, which also listed Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood (all members of Fleetwood Mac) as band members...

*George Formed the super-group in the late 80's "The Travelling Wilburys" with himself, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty... Tom Petty was once a lover of, and musical partner to Stevie Nicks...

*Legend Bob Dylan has played with, and had his songs covered by both George Harrison (If Not For You) and Stevie Nicks (Just Like A Woman)...

*Former Fleetwood Mac member, Dave Walker, replaced Jeff Lynne (a good friend of Harrison's) In the band Idle Race... (Dave Walker was also in Black Sabbath...random...)

*In 1987 Fleetwood Mac band member, Billy Burnette wrote “All I Can Do Is Dream You” for Roy Orbison, friend and mentor of George...

I'm sure there's countless others, but i couldn't be arsed looking anymore...

"I can still hear you saying you would never break the chain!...
Chain...Keep us together"
