Btw, I just re-read Strays lastnight/this morning and, corny as it sounds, I just wanted to thank you for it. I may have spent two hours drying my tears and convincing myself it was okay, and Richie wasn't in an alley somewhere.
But I really think it's one of the best things you've ever written, and I am really glad it's out there, even if I can't bring myself to read it that often. This makes reading #2, and I was deeply affected the first time I read it, but I got even so much more out of it this time.
thanks, man. it's a weird one becuase it's very, like, plot-driven. there's a whole bunch of stuff that happens. very strange. also it has no baseball in it! at all! that is some madness.
Thank you very much for this. To me it's only fitting that it ends up being just the two of them. You are truly one of the best slash writers out there bar none, and have helped fuel my obsession with all things baseball. On that note, not to be greedy, but I have one more request. I was going through your archives as I often do, and I would love to know what Mulder and Zito's conversation was in "Crazy Life" that took place in the small alcove off the kitchen.

I just discovered this little goldmine over the holiday weekend and I lurrrrrrrrve your stuff! Great timing on this little ficlet because I just read Crazy Life in the last couple days. You're wonderful! It almost makes me not miss the boys as much. Almost. Waaaaaaah! ; )
i figured there's no better time to de-lurk than now, so here commences the de-lurking process.
i've been reading your stuff for a month or two now, i think. strays is my favorite, and if i had any talent at giving any feedback whatsoever you probably would have seen it before. but man, your stuff is amazing. and trying to think up other adjectives will make me look stupid, so i won't try.
but strays is my favorite, yeah, favorite of ever. and i figured that this was the best time to put that out there, so just thanks for being so awesome and writing that.
From an article on Yahoo: "Mulder, who isn't expected back from September shoulder surgery until perhaps midseason, is getting married this weekend and Jocketty expects him to settle on a team before then." Um wait Mulder is getting married? To who?
Zito told him, “Not everybody gets turned on by you being an asshole.” Mulder grinned meanly, blood on his mouth.
I love that, lol.
Got to the first couple lines and stopped for a minute - back and forth on whether to read this, because I adored the hell out of Strays and I thought it ended perfectly. But then the prequel thing with Zito and Eric was beautiful and perfect too and I decided I couldn't pass up on more Strays-related goodness.
I'm fighting the fruitless battle of discussing Strays!Rich's fate with Bri. I should probably stop soon though. It's probably a friendship-ending kinda argument.
