I've read this before but I don't think I commented on it. I love the incredible vividness of this piece, the way that it's standing right on that edge of dream and real life. From the first sentence, it sets up this wonderfully descriptive rhythm, a little uneven, uncertain, but right *there*, right in front of you where you have to keep watching. It's truly mesmerising.

And it feels so... vital. It feels so important, so meaningful, that the end leaves you with this perfect sense of completion. Leaves you happy and fulfilled and hopeful. It's an inspiring piece of writing.

I was reading this at work tonight, marvelling at how brilliant it was, and got mad raw inspiration to write this piece. I think I've read this before, actually, but I don't remember. Anyway, the way you wrote it is pure pure pure brilliance. The way you take us into Casey's muddled brain? Wow. Seriously, wow.

I wish I had more to say, but just know that I love this fic, and it inspired my muse... to the point where it was literally eating my brain alive until I got off work, sped home, ran upstairs, and rat-a-tat-tatted it out. LOL. Don't worry, I gave inspirado credit where it was deserved. Though, it's not based on this, or really connected, but it did come from an idea this fic spawned in my head.

*here from crack_van*

Good god this was breathtaking and gorgeous and PERFECT.

I love the impending sense of doom, the vividness of the images, and how the whole thing just steamrolls forward, to the inevitable conlusion you hoped was comming but were afraid was not, forgetting (just like Casey did) that extacy and agony are so close that omens themselves might blur the line between them.

"There's no hole in my heart, Casey. Not anymore."

Oh. This is amazing and lovely. It's so sad and so painful but the end is just beautiful.

"There's no hole in my heart, Casey. Not anymore."

So. Very. Dan.

For me, this story generates those rich amounts of feeling like the show did!
