Thanks for the encouragement. I'm really nervous about this drabble... but I'm glad that you love the way that this turned out. I think my wordiness is making me gun shy on this one. I want complete sentences. haha. But, dare to do something different... right?

*HUGS YOU*

No reason to be nervous!

This is a perfectly good half drabble: powerful and precise in its storytelling.

We accept double and triple drabbles so of course we accept half drabbles: we just see them less often. (To be fair we accept fic of any length up to 300 words, it's just cool when people rise to the challenge and do a certain length spot on.)

I like this: brisk and telling, giving us snapsnots of who Colby is and an ominous hint towards his future.

Brava!

Whew... well that's a load off my mind. I didn't see anywhere on the n100 page that said no less than 100 words - but still, saying something in 50 words is shocking to me. I talk WAY too much for this type of phenomenon. haha. I tried to add more words to make it 100 and realized I was just taking away from the whole point of the drabble - so I decided to be daring. I'm pleasantly surprised that I got the point across. And I'm thankful that you read and left me this encouraging comment. MWAH! *hugs*

Thanks! I'm still shocked that I got the point across in 50 words. Any one who has read anything from me knows that I'm not afraid of high word counts. haha. I'm so glad you liked this! Thank you for reading and for commenting. *big hugs*

Ilove it! You convayed so much with so few words... *sighs* Awesome. It's hard to do a drabble wih so few words and give it actual subsance, but you did! I bow down to your superior writing skills.

haha... superior writing skills? I don't know about that but I do appreciate the sentiment. :) Usually the way this works is I have 154 words and I have to decide do I add 46 to make it 100 or subtract 54 to make it 100?

Ending up with only 50 words and saying "I can't add any more or I'll mess the bitch up" is a new concept to me. (Do you see what I did there? *wink*)

I am really relieved, given how nervous I was about this type of drabble, that you read it and that you enjoyed it. Whew. *hugs*

Fantastic. I love work like this.
This is how I like to write too.
So few words but such impact.

Thanks for your lovely words about my drabble too. Not sure if you got my reply! I think I messed it up somehow!!

I did get your comment and I just replied. :) So, you didn't mess it up. No worries.

I really was nervous about this because the style of the drabble is something I'm not used to writing. I usually have really long sentences that look more like paragraphs. So, to manage conciseness and have others enjoy it... I'm quite grateful. Thank you for reading and for liking what you read. :)

I'm really pleased that you read this and enjoyed it. I really was hesitant about posting it because of the format and the low word count, but the last line really got to me and that was the whole point of the drabble. THANK YOU for commenting. I'm thrilled that you liked this.
