It wouldn't be a big deal to me if...well, if these kids were trying to do a solid for the 80's gear...but they're totally not. Colors are fabulous, but when combining styles that's when things get iffy:

There's the "scene kid" who comes into Starbucks every weekend. Her hair is bigger than her wee little head. Her eyes are painted a dark dark black (all the way around them) and smeared outward and upward. Her "lip gloss" ends up all over her mouth area so it looks like she just shoved a candied apple in there. Her nails (finger*toe) are bright pink. She's wearing a white sundress over purple printed tights with red shoes? It's not only a slight against the fashion industry it's an embarrassment to society.

Honestly, to myself and to you it's mostly their mentality and convo's that kills me. Sample overheard convo at Starbucks:

"Oh, Johnny Five just totally 'ran' me in the ad for (that very local band) Die Scene Kid Die and you should have seen how Vanessa Danger reacted, OMG, she completely had a melt down over it, it was death. One day I'll be in every ad (for this band who will never make it) and my face will be like their cover model and stuff. Sylvia Sluthead and Die Scene Kid Die. All I have to do is stand there for a few pictures and I'm all over the scene!"
Guy's version:
"Glory Alltheday totally looked hot on that Die Scene Kid Die album cover. She said I could be on it with her, but I don't know, would it look like we're "scene" together. Because I don't want to be "together scene" with Glory, she's a total tramp. Sylvia Sluthead just got booted from the DSKD ads because she wasn't "scene enough". Yeah, Johnny Five get's to make that decision around here. He can yank a kid off-scene so quick. The emo scene's just can't get it together long enough to be scene so we hate them."

'nough said I guess...but these kids couldn't MAKE IT in the world without their mommies and daddies...and they're mostly 16-22 year olds with nothing effing better to do. They've decided it best not to go to college (???) instead they plan on just being "scene" all their lives (???).

Something is broken on their motherboards and the parental units don't seem to care.

Not to mention, the 80's was about being fun and hip, it was an entire generation getting into it. Not this tiny underground movement of retards who just want to do nothing for the rest of their lives. The 80's was embarrassing for everyone, not 10% of the youth, 100% of everyone.

Sorry, my shutup button is broken again! LOL LONG LIVE THE 80'S!
