PRIDE? IN WHAT? Only in yourself?

I love what this country was founded on, I still feel for the other human beings here with me, I see the flag and I cry, but I'm not sure why anymore. Is it because of how much pride I have in the reason for its being, is it because at one time wars were fought necessarily to liberate us, is it because it still stands for freedom and no matter what ( Read more... )

This rant courtesy of the May 2008 Nation ID Law. We are currently switching from state ID's to a Federal ID and it frightens me because I believe they will be putting microchips in each ID. So much for freedom in this country.

Also, my husband passed a Lutheran church on our "nations birthday" July, 4th and the sign outside said "Thank God for religious freedom" he just couldn't contain himself and screamed a few choice words out the window. Religious freedom for the people of THAT church maybe, but even THEY condemn the other supposed "free religions" of this nation.

In just over 6 years ONE administration has undone at LEAST 200 years of hard work. How is that done and not fought against? In other countries this government would have been overthrown and a civil war unleashed! GRRR to the American Idiots...GRRR to all of you!

You should read up on what goes on here sometime, it really is a nauseating process. The WHOLE system is fucked up and has been heading into that downhill spiral for several decades. I don't know if we can stop it now.

Anyway, love to ya, and hugs. Regardless of my anger at certain people I always try focus it and channel it to a more productive way of being.

The way I look at it, the scociety as we know it is pretty well fucked in the next 10 years or so anyways, and it's just a matter of time before things get really bad. For here (Vancouver and/or B.C. and/or Canada), it's the whole 2010 thing. When the games are over, the economy is totally screwed, but not many people see that. Everyone is looking at how much money and how many people are going to be comming here to see Canada. We are basically going to raise the price on everything, sell off what we have left of a country, then notice that when the cheapest place to rent is over a grand, and there are no more jobs because no more tourists (who wants to go to a city after it's done this?), that minimum wage just doesn't cut it.

Are you looking for a roommate in, oh, say, 4 years?

Well, that's what has happened to all of the world's major cities after the games made their "appearance." Why couldn't they have left them on Mount Olympus with the Gods where they belong? LOL.
And on the roomate thing, absolutely no problem finding you one here. If not with the husband and myself, I have a friend who would more than welcome a Canadian, ANY Canadian to his home for he is obsessed with all things Canada. LMAO!
And just so you know my new phone # is 937-681-0888 should you need to make an emergency get away!
