Happy New Year!
I just changed my 2008 pirate calendar to my 2009 handbag calendar. In 2007, it was a psychedelic rock poster calendar. I have odd tastes. I'll get to change my work calendar from the 2008 snowflake calendar to my new 2009 cloud calendar tomorrow! woot!
I haven't posted since October it seems. Well! Jared was laid off in November. He seems to have a knack for getting hired at a place and within 6 months getting laid off. It is depressing for him after a while. But its not like its his fault, so the search does go on. Also in November, Jared and I went on vacation to his parents house in South Carolina. It was a good trip except for the train ride there and home. I'm never taking the train for long trips again. And you can't make me. Neener neener neener.
December was the holidays. We had a great Christmas! My sister and her boyfriend even stayed for dinner. My sister doesn't usually stay at my mom's for dinner. It was a rare treat!! It's hard to decide on favorite gifts, but I do love my owl hat (picture in a few days time maybe?) and my box set of Sublime. Jared got everything he wanted for Christmas, including a job! He was rehired by the company that has laid him off twice already, so he's still going to keep a look out for other employment.
I spent New Year's Eve alone, in my room, reading, like the hermit I am. I had no Jared because of the snow storm. Unlike the storm a couple weeks ago where it took me two hours to get home after work, it only took me an hour and a half to get home this time!
As for resolutions, I'm not sure if I have any real ones yet. Last year my goal was to be happier with myself, and that turned out reasonably well. I don't cry nearly as often as I used to, but Jared thinks I still cry too much. I'm just overly sensitive, I don't know how I can fix that.
Maybe I'll get to Vermont in 2009. I sure do miss it.
