I went out to my aunt and uncle's house today, to help pack
stuff up to bring into storage. It was so sad going through
there, because they have to gut the entire place except the
ceilings and rebuild it all. Noriko kept the place absolutely
spotless, and now it's all covered in mud. It was Tommy's
dream house, a house on the water with a dock and all that.
They are actually built up to around 12 feet above sea level,
and still managed to get more than four feet of water inside
the house.

I took a bunch of pictures there, too, and some more when we
went back to Metairie yesterday to get my furniture, and since
I've exhausted both my upload limit and my patience for loading
things with flickr, I just dumped the entire set onto my house
account, this goes all the way back to the night before the
storm hit here.

Yesterday I finally managed to find my dog's favorite toy, which
I couldn't find before we left or friday when I went back. It's
the little things, you know? (The red bone is her favorite.)
