The wind has been howling all night, and random branches and
pinecones and crap have been hitting the roof and rolling for
hours. The house powers down, and we hear the terrible UPS
death noise. BEEP-BEEP-BEEP. BEEP-BEEP-BEEP. Someone
has to go out to the shed to flip the switch to change circuits
over to the generator.
Today at 5:30pm, the power came back on. Oh central air!
Turning lots of stuff on without the lights going dim!
We got a times-picayune delivered here today too. I don't think
I've ever been so happy to see the paper before.
Now I just have to get into my house.
