Courtesy of one very lovely lady,
fngrcufs, I am taking the family up to North Conway this weekend, in the Echo Lake area. I can not stress to you enough how frikkin' happy I am about this. We haven't been up there since Peter was like 2 or so, we used to go all the time in the fall, after all the tourists and leaf peepers would be gone for the season. Her and her family were headed up there anyway and insisted we tag along and how could I resist such a gorgeous offer? We'll be there until Monday night, not long enough, but it is something! Yay!
So I think I finally have a solid idea for my LoM ficathon thingie, and I have to give big sloppy hugs and kisses to both
severinne and
dragonlit for hearing out my idea(s). Truth be told, without giving away too much, Gab it was totally what you said about how a certain scenario would be more angsty one way vs. the other that did me in. That sealed it in my head, after the lovely vision that came with the thought, and there you go. Of course, now I have to write the thing. I am also working on coming up with ideas for two different contests sponsored by Writer's Digest. I go into these things thinking it is likely that I won't win, but at least I am meeting the challenge I set for myself by working on something and submitting it. Of course, winning would be quite nice, now wouldn't it?
And, speaking of writing, you Torchwood lot are one prolific bunch! I have thirteen fics submitted so far and they are almost all over 10000 words. Crazy I tell you : ) That fun starts on August 1st, I do believe we are posting two fics a day. I hope that you'll all head over to
thestopwatch and read some of the yummy (and varied I have to add)Janto that we got out of this round! (For the record, we will be having a Christmas round as well, gonna go about it a little differently, more the way that they do the ficathon over at
lifein1973 )
Now, Jen is off to find some much needed caffeine. Mmmmmh, coffee.
