Batman: The Dark Knight FTW!!!
Damn that was the best comic book type movie I have ever seen and I have seen most of them!!
If Heath Ledger as the Joker in drag isn't the most frightening and disturbing thing ever well then I don't know what is. That man was fucking incredible as the Joker and will most definitely get the Oscar nod and likely win, all sorts of awards he will win actually. He was so creepy I got chills, it was brilliant. And Christian Bale as Batman is just all sorts of delicious. I read somewhere that he was flat in this movie, but I didn't see that at all. I saw Batman as dark and lonely and everything I expect him to be. He is my favorite Batman.
And Maggie Gyllenhall as Rachel was better than the most annoying Katie whatsherface, but I was glad the character is done with now, yeah it made sense what with happenned to Dent and all that, but....a bit Mary Sueish she always struck me as. Though it has to be said, George Lucas could take a lesson from Chris Nolan in how to make your hero fall. Anyway.
And oh GOD, little fangirl squee here....I know I am alone on this for the most part (most of the my friends think he is gross and creepy) but I LOVE Eric Roberts. I think he is SO sexy and he just gets better with age I tell you. He was a nice surprise, I had no idea he was in this. Didn't know that Anthony Michael Hall and Cillian Murphy were in it either.
All in all I really enjoyed the movie, I think Batman is so much cooler than Spidey!! I heard a rumor today that Ten-inch is interested in playing The Riddler, maybe? How fucking sweet would that be for the next installment?? GUH!!!!
Oh, and bonus...The dude that played Captain Jack Harkness in Torchwood Series One's Captain Jack Harkness episode was in the movie! Haha, made me all giggly smiley.
