Catching up with some happy
Wow, I am FAIL at lj lately. I imagine that will change with school starting back up for the kid in three weeks...
1. This amazing weather around here in MA. This is the best weather for summer I can remember.
2. Inception. Inception. INCEPTION. I am obsessed. Go on and make your shocked face now.
3. Took Peter to his first KISS show. It was my ninth, Nick's thirteenth. It was crazy, per usual, and though Peter did have me hold my hands over his ears most of the time, he thought it was awesome. Best part, though? Lying on the grass, me resting on one of Nick's knees, Peter on the other, looking up at the stars and deciding which we'd live on, then watching a plane, far above, and deciding it was the Enterprise.
4. Paw Sox game on a gorgeous Friday night, sitting over in the field next to the bleachers and Peter asking me if it was named McCoy Stadium after Bones.
5. Wednesday night dinners at my house with my bffl.
6. Finding a reasonably priced babysitter. This is a big deal, kids in my area charge nine bucks an hour. With my sis in law having a boyfriend now, she is far less agreeable to watching the boy, and who can blame her? My other sis in law's boyfriend's daughter, thirteen now, is ready to make some money and has known Peter for four years now, and is so good with him. She's gonna get twenty bucks for three hours, to start.
7. SCHOOL STARTS IN THREE WEEKS! It has been a fun, tiring summer. BUT I am ready for a break and so is Peter.
8. Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy. Just about to finish book three. First was slow to start but once Salander met Blomkvist I was hooked. Book two was amazing. Book three is, so far, really good. That Daniel Craig has been cast as Blomkvist in the big budget big screen version gives me happy.
9. My Kelly is having her babies in about a week now!
