Torchwood : Meat
Ok, so of course I am way behind, I live in America and they are two full weeks behind on airings of my fave show, but hey, I am just happy it airs at all.
It really wasn't, and I think that is the Gwen thing. I see and feel no chemistry there between Eve and John and well, it feels contrived when they try to put it in there. For the most part though I viewed the episode, (which I had already watched a lot of on You Tube), as Jack not wanting to lose Gwen and not wanting to see Rhys or Gwen get hurt. I get that he cares for her, and he did genuinely look hurt at the end when she said she could leave TW, but really like I said, it looked to me like he just can't imagine losing her for TW and of course, because he does love her, I just don't think it is in *that* way.
I did love that Rhys had a bigger role, he is a good character and so much less annoying than Gwen! Loved the nose to nose argument with him and Jack and the "this is quite homoerotic" line, haha. And I practically choked when Rhys jokingly asked Rhys if he was by any chance gay....Now Rhys and Jack, I could go for that! LOL! And man, Jack was back in rare form with his flirting skills, which I loved. When he was cozying up to Rhys' secretary I was even giggling like a little girl. She was too cute, and I love him when he is all silly and flirty and adorable like that. Hell, I like tortured and angsty Jack too, who am I kidding?
Now, please, let me move on to Ianto....Fucking Ianto Jones....Oh my is he the reason to watch this show lately or what? That was some serious kick ass on his part with the tasers, all the while looking perfectly polished in his crisp suit...Damn that was hot. And the voice *sigh* "pray they live"...*double sigh*...And his one liners, the deadpan delivery gets me every time. My favorite was "I'll stock up on plankton"...Too cute he is.
Now as for the alien, I did feel bad for it, and it was heartbreaking, that wail and knowing they were cutting it up alive, but part of me just can't accept the alien episodes like I can the time based episodes.
Can't wait for next week so I can finally see the whole episodes of Adam and Reset! WOO!
