So I am driving to work this morning and what comes up on my trusty iPod? Sabotage by the Beastie Boys, and immediately I am young JT Kirk stealing that sweet old car and driving it over a cliff...*sigh* Beasties' License To Ill was the first tape I ever bought myself. I was eleven, I bought it at Bradlees on Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester. Before that I'd only ever bought myself two 45's, one was Nobody's Fool by Cinderella, the other was Theme from S'Express by S'Express, and later the first CD I ever bought myself was Van Halen's 5150. For the record, I still love that Van Halen CD (it has seen me through some serious life, LOL, it was playing in the background the first time I ever had sex) and I still LOVE the Beastie Boys (Sabotage happens to be a personal fave, along with Intergalactic and Hey Ladies. I was more than thrilled when JJ picked that song to be in the reboot!)
