Cool Weather
This has been an INSANELY hot summer...INSANE. One of those summers where if you could spend most of your day in a cold swimming pool somewhere...you would. For our business' sake we love the summer season as it's the season where we make most of our yearly income, however we also are relieved when the cooler weather arrives and gives us a break from the sweltering temperatures. And this my friends is where we are now....the break...Baby O has worn long pants and long sleeves two days in a row now. Yippee!
So many fun things accompany cooler weather. Once October 1st arrives I'm more than ready to get out all of my fall decor and change the scents in my oil burners. I make pumpkin muffins and hot apple cider and we build fires in our fireplace. This year has the added bonus of a new family tradition...picking out the perfect pumpkin at our local pumpkin patch! I know Baby O will never remember it, but still we will go and let her pick and take a million photos. Later, when she's 13 I can pull those photos out and remind her that at one time she was sweet and adorably irresistable and most importantly NEVER talked back to her Mother :)
