Shoya: The Akhlut
Shoya is a Hunter, in nature and profession. He knows little but the thrill of hunting down the creatures that bring sorrow to the two realms. Werewolves respect and often run beside him, but he also works alone. He likes rooms colder than most, often frustrated with the feeling of being too warm. His personality too can appear cold, for he is slow to make friends, but when he does he is as loyal as anyone. Especially towards his King.
The Mythology
The akhlut comes from inuit mythology and is said to be an orca with the ability to take on the form of a giant wolf (or half wolf) form to hunt on land as well as the ocean. Because of this the images of what an akhlut appears like can be varied, depending on the artists impression of a "half wolf". I went for a form simular to the one above for Shoya. Little is known about the akhlut, except that it only comes to land when it is hungry.
