I checked out the link nastyboots posted from roadsideamerica.com and then clicked the link to the giant shoe made of shoes, wondering why anyone would want to see something I see every day.
And I do see this thing every day. It's down the street from the restaurant and I never really thought about how bizarre the thing is. It's a shoe made up of littler shoes. I mean really, that's fucking weird. What kind of titanic human being would wear such a thing and would it be comfortable? No, because it's a pump.
Then, I started to wonder about what other big things made up of smaller same things could be built. Oddly, the first thing I thought was cupcake. One gigantic cupcake made of regular-sized cupcakes. Logistics of making a giant cup to encase smaller cups into which batter could be poured aside, how great would that be? Giant cupcake. Then people could wander by and wonder, doesn't that just defeat the purpose of CUPcake anyway?
