I got a telephone call this afternoon from my brother-in-law. I'm going to be an uncle around June. This would make my sister the first one of my brothers and sisters to have a kid. Now I feel old.
In other news, Thanksmas was loads of fun, and I got to see some of the friends that I hadn't seen in quite a while. I also managed to splay myself out on the floor (yay for grease from frying turkeys) without major injury. I left fairly early, and went to go visit my friends Brie and Scott. I promptly got sucked into a crazy guitar game that they had just got, like Dance Dance Revolution meets carpal tunnel syndrome. It's a surprisingly fun game to watch, though, because it has a fair selection of decent music that is still tolerable even when the player is slaughtering the songs, like I was.
This morning was tough. The drive to Dallas was long and boring, and I was late to work. Not exactly the impression I want to give, especially since I applied for the senior rep position a few weeks ago. Oh well. Then my callers decided to be decidedly more idiotic than usual. Not all of them, just a select few. There's only so much, "Oh, and how do I..." that I can tolerate before I have to scream, "RTFM!" It's more likely that I was just irritable. I sometimes believe, though, that people should have to pass a test for each piece of technology they own. Failing the test means you have to go to tutoring before you can purchase the item in question.
I'm not sure what happened, but last night I got very little sleep. I kept having very high-strung dreams that kept me from actually resting. I woke up this morning feeling like I'd been beaten all over. Damn astral travels. Must have wandered through a bad part of a ghost town *grin*.
This is a bit disorganized, because I waited to 3 AM to write it *shrugs*. At least I wrote it. I need to bed now, class in 6 hours.
