I suppose it's finally time to update my journal. It has been a busy couple of months. I've gotten a job at Decision One, which does third party tech support. It's a job. I don't particularly care for having to slow my mental processes down enough to deal with stupid people, but it pays the bills. I also just finished working at RenFaire, which was quite an adventure this year.
This year at RenFaire, I chose to stay on the grounds over the weekends. I got to see a lot more of the people that work out there, after hours. It's a wonderful culture. I made friends with a girl that worked in the booth two spaces down, and she showed me around some of the participant camps on RenFaire Drive. The people I got to see were wonderfully talented and open people. One of the guys I was talking to about this, though, said that everyone in our society should get to see this piece of our culture. I disagreed. Anyone that saw how happy these people were without "following the rules" would have a hard time going back to following the rules. That is, if they understood the freedom that the rennies have.
Blabber, blabber, blabber. I guess I'll write something more coherent later. My brain is slowly going.
