My thoughts on last night's episode

So it has been a while since I posted anything HF0 related. Why, not really sure because I'm been watching like the loyal fan I am but I just haven't felt the need to do an reaction post, until now that is. Anyways like me go on by saying that last night's episode to me was not very good. Not hating on the people that liked it but in my opinion ( Read more... )

If a tweet someone from CBS sent as a response to a Five-0 fan is true, Cath will be joining the team. Maybe that's why they killed Billy off. I didn't watch the episode but I was surprised to hear they did that, I was sure they were going to draw out the Steve jealousy line more.

I have to say too that I'm tired of people deciding why Scott doesn't appear in certain episodes very much - I'm not talking about you but all of the "experts" out there who have stated categorically that Scott isn't there because 1) he hates Hawaii 2) he wants off the show 3) it's the anniversary of his mother's death and he's observing some Jewish ceremony. The truth is it's most likely that Scott wasn't in this episode much because not much was written for him. There are times when his character is going to take a back seat (which are the times I don't watch). That's all.

He has a contract. He can't just decide when he is or isn't going to be in an episode. He can't just come and go as he likes. BTW, Scott's mom was not Jewish therefore, unless he converted, he is not Jewish.

Again, this wasn't aimed at you I just get tired of seeing tweets and posts from all the experts who 3/4 of the time are making up what they say.

I try not to pay attention to statements like that because they are mostly lies and are not direct quotes from the actor's mouth. I am just sad that I am seeing less of Scott because he brings something special to the show that I am starting to miss.

BTW, I am Jewish and my Father passed away three days after Scott's mom. Because of the way the Jewish calendar fell this year, the anniversary was September 9th for me. The anniversary can be remembered anywhere in the world where there is a minyan (10 adult Jews), and does not require you to miss work or fly back to LA. I think that TPTB are just focusing on the Steve/Catherine relationship, regardless of the lack of chemistry, so there are fewer scenes and story lines with Scott, which is a real shame. Too many people have commented on how wonderful the bromance is, so its really too bad that the relationship is ignored and that they keep forcing these women on Steve.
