Thats wronderful!!! Everythign I do is Civil War related. Im a member of a Cavalry Unit, I work at a Fort here, I do Civil War medical, I help operate a period sutlery, and I'm majoring in history right now :) Most of what I learn is from living and doing though.. as far as book smarts go most of the time im lack luster. I can't learn that way ^^; I spend about 5-6 months of the year in 1864.

OMG Cavalry! Squee! I'm such a cavalry nerd. Where are you located/what Fort do you work at? Where do you go to school?

I can understand what you mean about the book smarts being hard. I've always been a pretty good student, but I find reading for hours to be very hard and I much prefer (and learn better) when I'm writing or teaching.

Thats so awesome!! Its really refreshing to see other people into it! LOL I live in NE FL, I work at Ft.Clinch, and I go to school at FSCJ. :) Everything i've learned i've learned from doing LOLz i cant retain book information very well.... I can retain things from TV though- which sucks since we all know TV lies so much...especially about the Civil War...
