Well, the water system at our cabin on Osgood Pond stopped working. It just wouldn't draw water. Must be frozen...where? Discovered that the crafty guy we bought this cabin from had a whole system for thawing out the intake...I just had to be smart enough to figure it out! To make a long story short, I did! Let me tell you, for an engineer kind of guy, this was very satisfying. Kind of like playing CLUE with pipes and control systems ("I propose that it's the intake pipe down at the lake." Anybody have anything to refute that? Yes? Well, then "I propose that it's the thermostat in the manhole that must have a heater somehow attached...") You get the idea.
Anyway, this was fun, frustrating, and enlightening all at the same time. Also like climbing into the mind of the guy who set it up. ("Why did you do THAT?...Oh, I see!")
Water's back on. Cool beans.
