The actual comments (red pen and all) that I received on my French exam:
"You have to be careful with conjugation and the use of tenses. You should have mentioned your origins and gone deeper into details. It's a pity."
This comment was followed closely by a pretty embarassing grade. You'd think five years studying French PLUS a month in France would do something for my comprehension of the language. Merde.
In other news, I'm thinking about starting some sort of Anti-Apathy movement (
inspired by a Brit site of the same name). It's beyond ridiculous that we all have the things we do, all the privledges, all of the advantages of living in richest nation in the world, and we're content to be absolutely useless. Thus, I'm reregistering to vote up here, where Kerry actually has a chance of taking this state (
which has more electoral votes anyway) though from the looks of it now, I don't know how much it will help. The point is, it's worth trying. Politically, socially, environmentally, "Apathy is lethal" (swiped from
another worthy cause).
Can't hurt.

Did I drive you away?
I know what you'll say,
You say, Oh, sing one we know,
But I promise you this,
I'll always look out for you,
That's what I'll do.
I say oh, I say oh.
My heart is yours,
It's you that I hold on to,
That's what I do,
And I know I was wrong,
But I won't let you down,
(Oh yeah... yeah I will, yes I will)
