Everyone knows that Diana has a girlfriend named Christie, but we've never seen her on the show. Therefore, I want Diana to introduce Christie to Neal and Peter. Many thanks, as always, to Karaokegal for the quick-n-dirty beta.

Summary: Diana brings Christie to a Bureau Accommodation dinner. Neal is there, too.

Peter (or at least, El) was as good as his word, and when the next bureau accommodation dinner came up, Neal got an invite. From the picture on the wall at the Burke house, Neal knew that it was almost a black-tie event, so he pulled out his best suit for the occasion.

Peter made him sit in the back seat of the car, which caused Neal to grumble and El laugh, but it was worth it when they got to the hotel. Once the car was relinquished to the valet, it didn't take long to find Hughes, Jones, Blake and a few other agents from the White Collar division standing off to the side of the hall. Predictably, Kidnapping and Organized Crime were holding the center of the room (they always got more attention). White Collar was by no means under represented, though.

Even though everyone was dressed for the occasion, Neal knew he was still the most sharply dressed person in the room. That is, until he caught sight of Diana and a woman who must be her girlfriend walking into the room. She was blond, with short hair and a snappy suit, complete with a tie bar. If Neal hadn't had years of experience hiding his reactions, he might have given Diana even more ammunition.

"You must be Christie," he said, holding out his hand as they approached. Neal could almost feel Peter's disapproving stare; Elizabeth was biting her lip to keep from laughing and Diana was just glaring.

"And you must be Neal Caffrey," Christie responded. She had a firm grip when she shook his hand. "Diana's told me so much about you."

"Good things, I hope," Neal said.

"Not a bit," Christie responded. "If I had a dollar for every time she complained about you --"

"You'd be rich?" Neal guessed.

"Moderately wealthy, at the very least. I could take her out in style."

"You're looking quite stylish tonight," Neal said. "Both of you."

Diana seemed more amused now, or at least more distracted, talking to Peter. A slight shift in position brought El into the conversation with Christie, which left Neal free to join the others after a few moments.

"You look nice, too, Diana," Neal said, sincerely. "You look good together." He nodded at Christie, and winked when she nodded back.

"Thanks," Diana said. She looked like she wanted to say more, but Jones swooped over and distracted her with something.

"Going to try to cut in?" Peter asked.

"Not this time," Neal replied, taking a sip of his drink. "I'm not on their dance card."
