Now *there's* something you don't see every day...
For the first time, BC Place is now missing its roof. Well, not really missing, so much as deflated. A huge section ripped free around 1pm yesterday, and the owners of the stadium apparently had no choice but to let all the air out. I work right next door to BC Place, so had front row seats for the show. :-)
Predictably, someone posted a few videos of the collapse on YouTube soon after (here, here, and here). Given their username is gamegoof, I suspect it was probably someone on the 8th floor, where Rockstar Vancouver lives.
And, speaking of things you don't see every day, the final moments of Thursday's Oilers vs. Stars game were quite incredible. Take a lookee here. The fun starts 0:55 in. :-)
