Inspired by this picture. THESE TWO I CANNOT LOVE THEM ENOUGH.

Alright, let's see. I've read the previous one. But then I just shrugged and ended up not saying anything. It was short and not boring but didn't seem to have a spark if you know what I'm saying, I felt neutral towards it.

Now, as for this one, I think it feels better. I guess it's because I grew more familiar with the characters. This may sound weird but it sorta has an aura of a story told by a friend about my other friends. And I felt I would like to (at least sometimes) write in a similar manner: calm and informative.

Haha maybe because you needed to know a little canon to read the first one? I tend to do that with a lot of my first fanfics in a fandom...write in canon...and then leave fandom alone after that...

Yeah, I guess it's sorta how it works: in many cases, a writer and a reader can have fun with a story inspired by a fandom they've come to know and adore. But it might not always work for an "outsider". If I'm not mistaken, you've already talked about this. :)
